A Seamless Process

Charles Cudd has talented and meticulous Architects, Architectural Designers, Interior Designers, and top Construction professionals on our team. This saves you the time, frustration and risk of assembling your own disparate participants.   1. HOMESITE REVIEW & RESERVATION

You will first meet with one of our on-site sales team members at the neighborhood to walk and evaluate the lots/ views that best suit your wants, needs and vision for your dream home. Upon determining which lot is the best fit for you we will proceed to a lot reservation (hold agreement) and a deposit.

2. DESIGN DISCUSSION & CONSULTATION

The second meeting will take place in our Plymouth office with the Architectural Designer. Here we will go into more detail about your wants, needs and the budget you have set.  Whether you are inspired by Houzz, Pinterest, or past projects of ours – it’s a great time to show us any of your inspirational images so we can incorporate those ideas into your plans.

3. DESIGN CONCEPT

We will generate a conceptual design to capture your needs and desires within budget. Driven by architectural principals and concepts, our goal is to create an incredible design that will amplify your daily life. The timeframe to create the initial schematics is generally 1-2 weeks.

4. DESIGN AGREEMENT

From the beginning, we are working to earn your business and if we find that we are tracking at this point, we will take a reasonable deposit to move forward. We will then continue with more complete conceptual/construction drawings.

5. DEVELOPMENT

Next, we will work in collaboration with the Construction department, producing highly detailed construction drawings. Our team works in synergy, nothing will get lost in translation and is easily transferred between the Architect, Draftsmen and Construction team. Once approved, your construction drawings will be sent out to our trade partners for estimating assistance and collecting bids, bringing you one step closer to the build phase.

6. INTERIOR DESIGN

Now the fun begins, you will have exclusive access to Minnesota’s most award-winning Interior Design Team. We know this can be an overwhelming aspect of the process and we simplify that with our own Selection Center – you won’t need to run around the metro area to look at selections. You will be invited into our Selection Center to meet with the Interior Designers. By now, our designers know about you and your visions but will dive in deeper. They will get to know you and your design preferences better, discuss your likes and dislikes, and ask for any inspiration you may have from Houzz, Pinterest, etc. The goal is to make this as stress free as possible and maintain the excitement of designing your dream home!

7. CONTRACT REVIEW

Comprehensive, easy to understand specifications are prepared for every home – this eliminates any confusion and helps you understand exactly what you are getting. Most of our work is off a Fixed Contract, but we can also run a contract on a Cost-Plus basis + Change Orders. We are happy to work with whichever is the best fit for our client.

8. CONSTRUCTION

Our outstanding Construction Management and Quality Control team will take things from here. Each step of the build process is under close supervision and thoroughly planned out on the calendar with highly developed checklists that map out, sequence, and prioritize every critical activity. Our work is executed by the industry’s finest tradesmen who use top-tier materials and methods that lead to unsurpassed construction quality, workmanship, and overall finish and feel of your home. Formal inspections are performed at every phase to ensure compliance with standards.

9. WARRANTY

At Charles Cudd, we stand behind our work and our clients. We offer a professionally administered warranty program with first-class after sale service for unexpected issues that may arise. You will receive a follow-up from our team at 30 days and 10 months after closing.
